With the large number of state wide meetings and nets the calendar is VERY busy and can be a bit overwhelming when first looked at.
Viewing Options
The Event Calendar supports three ways to display data
- Week View
- Month View
- Print View
The Week View, and especially the Print View will be most useful.
Filter Options
Near the top of the Event Calendar is a Sort by Category option. By default all events are shown but, for example, one could look at just nets or just club meetings, or just state wide events, etc. Just play with the filter options a bit and get a feel for what you can do.
Each event is assigned a category descriptor (like club meeting or net) as well as a location descriptor.
Much like the way we organized the clubs page, we have arbitrary used the “Big-I” to divide the state into 4 sections to arrive at these location descriptors
- State Wide – Applies to the entire state
- Abq – The area generally around Albuquerque and Rio Rancho.
- NW – North of I40 and west of I25
- NE – North of I40 and east of I25
- SW – South of I40 and west of I25
- SE – South of I40 and east of I25
- South – South of I 40 and near I25
- North – North of I40 and near I25
- East – East of I25 and near I40
- West – West of I25 and near I40
Unfortunately we cannot combine filter options at this time. For example it is not currently possible to filter on State Wide AND Nets or NE AND Club Meeting. In the meantime we have created a series of pages that are available from the Events drop down menu that will list upcoming events for specific categories.
